The noise

To avoid noise pollution, Sogeti High Tech (Michel Aguilar inventor) also develops acoustic reflection techniques by shear rate modulation on jet. Reduction of about 15 dB, i.e. 30 times less sound power, is expected.

Noise level

The noise generated by the exhaust Thermoreactors free will be very important. To greatly reduce this nuisance, a technology called "Mille-Feuilles Acoustic" was developed by Sogeti High Tech, and a design of Michel Aguilar.

 

Principle

To reduce the jet noise is proportional to the huitème power of the jet velocity (V8), it "enough" to coat jet layers of a decreasing rate, and so do the last layer has a lowest possible speed.

The Thermoreactor will be equipped with a very effective sound reduction as we shall see later.

It "simply" as to generate a flow rate which must then power the acoustic gear. This will be achieved in the next generation Thermoreactor: the TR4G.
